The schoolroom is a large double height room with a raised open fire, and traditional match boarding on the walls. There are two south facing windows with sandstone window seats and a door out on the north side with access to the rear garden and river. A lovely spot on a late summer evening to catch the last of the sun. The DVD player and most of the games are in this room, and there is a table for writing, drawing or perhaps sitting at for afternoon tea.
SMALL SITTING ROOM
This is a charming room with an open fire and views down the garden one way and up the river to the other. There are chairs by the fire, a sofa and a elegant desk to write at. Usually a place of calm if there are games going on in the schoolroom. A large bookcase sits in one corner and a there is a Bose player and plenty of music CDs to enjoy.
The kitchen is between the schoolroom and the hall, so is at the very heart of the house. It is well equipped, with plenty of pans and oven trays, good knives, electric whisk and a large corner cupboard, full of china, glasses, bowls, dishes and more. There is a microwave, small freezer and under-counter fridge. The table, though small, seems to expand to accommodate up to eight. The bench can take two easily and three if necessary.
